· 1 big bowl chickpeas in water or 1-1/2 cups precooked + 1/2 cup water
· 1onion, diced
· ½ tsp of cumin seeds
· 1tsp of garlic paste
· 1tsp of ginger paste
· 3 tbsp of cooking oil
· 1/2 tsp haldi powder
· 1/2 tsp coriander powder
· 1/2 tsp cumin
· 1/2 tsp garam masala
· ½ tsp of red chilli powder
· Salt as per taste
· Green chillis 4-5 properly chopped
· Bay leaves 2,cloves4-5,Cinnamon 2,Green cardamom 2-3
· Tomatoes 2 puree
· Chopped coriander leaves 1 bowl
1)In a large skillet or frying pan, sauté cumin seed,bay leaves,cloves,cinnamon,Green cardamom,onions,garlic,ginger,green chillis,tomato in an oil until soft, about 3-5 minutes.
2)Add all the spices and cook for few minutes
3)Add chickpeas including all the water, cover, and simmer about 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally, adding more water if needed, until chickpeas are cooked and soft.
4)Reduce heat, cook for some time. Serve immediately ,garnish with coriander leaves and enjoy chana masala!
