Soyabean is a versatile food not just because of it health benefits but also for its effect on stomach once it is consumed.Nutrela soyabean pulao is a Traditional Indian food is usually high in protein. The protein is needed for building muscle which in turn gives one more strength etc. Soyabean is a great source of protein.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Soya Chunks
  • 1 tsp oil
  • 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1 small stick of cinnamon
  • 1 of cardamom
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 chopped onions
  • 1/2 cup green peas
  • 1 1/2 cups basmati rice , washed and drained
  • 1/2 tsp red chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 1/4 cup chopped coriander for the garnish

Instructions

1)Soak the Soyabean in 1 cup of hot water for 15 to 20 minutes. Drain and keep aside.

2)Heat the oil in a Large skillet and add the cumin seeds,Bay leaf, cinnamon and cardamom.

3)When the cumin seeds crackle and onions and sauté for 2 to 3 minutes.
4)Add green peas, rice and soyabean and sauté for another 2 minutes.
5)Add the chilli powder, turmeric powder, coriander-cumin seeds powder and salt and mix well.

6)Add 3 cups of hot water and close it with lid,let it cook until water get fully soaked and rice get cooked with Soyabean.
7)Served hot nutrela soyabean pulao garnished with the coriander.
