Malabar Fish Curry
Malabar fish curry is a south Indian delicacy.This curry is perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients
- fish of your choice-4 to 5
- ginger paste 1 tsp
- 1/2 cup grated coconut
- salt as required
- 2 red chili
- 2 tablespoon cooking oil
- 1/2 teaspoon turmeric
- 1 large green chili
- 1 tbsp tamarind paste
- 1 handful curry leaves
- 1 teaspoon red chili powder
- 1/2 tsp mustard seeds
Instructions
- Start with, adding grated coconut along with turmeric in a grinding jar and grind to a fine paste.
- Next step is to take pan, put a pan over medium flame and add a tablespoon of coconut oil in it. When the oil is hot enough, add finely chopped green chilies and ginger in it. Saute for a few seconds and then add red chili powder along with tamarind paste and salt as per your taste. Stir and mix well, and cook for 2-5 minutes. Then, add the coconut paste in it and stir to mix once again. Cook for 5-7 minutes.
- After that,cut the fish into pieces and wash with water. Add fish to the gravy and cook for about 5 minutes. Also, close the lid of the pan and let the fish cook. After 5 minutes, turn off the flame.
- Prepare tempering i.e., mustard seeds, curry leaves and red chilies. Let the ingredients temper and pour over the prepared fish curry. Put the fish curry over a high flame and cook for about a minute. Turn off the flame, and serve hot.
