green onion paratha
This is very healthy recipe.We can eat it in breakfast/lunch or even in dinner time.
- 3 cups whole wheat flour/atta;2 bunch of spring/green onion;1 green chili, finely chopped;1 tsp mustard seeds;1 tsp haldi/turmeric powder;2 tsp oil;Baking soda-pinch;water as required;salt as required
1)Rinse bunch of spring/green onion. drain them completely. chop them finely and keep aside.
2)In a large skillet add 2 tbsp oil,mustard seeds,1 tsp haldi/turmeric powder ,chopped spring/green onions,green chilies and salt ,cook for 10-15 minutes.
3)In a bowl mix flour,oil,pinch of baking soda & salt. add cooked spring/green onion
4)Pour some water and knead to a smooth dough. make medium sized balls of the dough. roll the dough into medium sized rotis or rounds.
5)On a tava or frying pan, cook green onion rotis or parathas with some oil or ghee till they are browned and cooked on both sides.
6)Serve hot green onion paratha with chutney,raita,curd or pickle
